In order to obtain a visa to the Republic of Congo applicants should provide the following:

Tourist visa

1. Valid, signed U.S. passport. Must be valid for at least 6 months after departing and contain at least one blank visa page
2. 2 passport-type photographs
3. 2 filled out visa application forms
4. Printed and filled out order form.
5. Letter of invitation.

Business visa

1. Valid, signed U.S. passport. Must be valid for at least 6 months after departing and contain at least one blank visa page
2. 2 passport-type photographs
3. 2 filled out visa application forms
4. Printed and filled out order form.
5. A business letter of responsibility is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to: Embassy of Republic of Congo, Visa Section, Washington, D.C.
The letter must explain:
• Nature of business to be performed;
• Name and address of reference to be visited;
• Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit.
• The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.

Fees and proccessing time

Fee: US$ 110 - single or multiple entries Processing time: 3 days.

Additional information

Tourist or business visa is usually valid for three months from date issued, for a stay in Congo not to exceed 30 days. Canadian residents may apply for visa through Washington D.C. Payment should be made by money order in U.S. Funds.
